Frequently Asked Questions

  • My studio is located in Fruit Cove, FL. I send the exact address upon booking your appointment. I don’t advertise my address publicly as I am a private studio and don’t accept walk-ins.

  • Yes I do! If you are unsure of how different colors will look like in your skin tone you can schedule a color test of a spectrum of colors. This can be very helpful in seeing what tones compliment your melanin the best. This is not only helpful for you but your tattoo artists as well as they approach preparing your tattoo! These are free of charge- send your inquiry HERE if interested in a color test.

  • Yes! Scars need to be at least a year old before tattooing over them, ideally between 3-5 years old. If you’re looking to get a scar covered or are unsure if it is ready to be tattooed yet, please send in an inquiry HERE including a straight on photo of the area in good lighting and include approximately how old the scar is.

  • I do not recommend using topical numbing creams or gels prior to an appointment. A lot of topical numbing creams that are marketed to people who get tattooed can be products that are unreliable or not meant for the type of use needed for getting tattooed. It could cause issues with broken blood vessels, skin irritation, skin texture differences, problems healing, and some severe cases things like allergic reaction or chemical burns.

I do use numbing sprays that are meant to use on open skin to help mitigate pain that are meant to be used medically as open wound care. I aim to make the process as comfortable as possible while you’re getting tattooed.

  • There are a lot of things that tattoo artists have to consider while creating a tattoo design that will have the longevity to last a lifetime. Most traditional drawings and art won’t have the same kind of composition it takes to make a tattoo last. While I won’t tattoo something a friend or another artist has drawn exactly- I do however love the opportunity to make it come to life while recreating it in a way that makes a good tattoo that will last you well within the styling that I do. If you’re looking to do something like this or have questions about it, send me an inquiry HERE

  • Yes you can! I am now allowing clients to bring one (1) guest with them to appointments providing that they are following the same safety policies outlined when booking.

  • That’s ok! I often will do flash drops on my instagram and website of predawn designs- This is a popular booking method, as sometimes people don’t know what they want until they see it! I am also great at taking a subject matter that you’re interested in and turning it into a fun and cute design if I have your trust in that process.

  • Yes! If you live out of state I make exceptions to have remote consultations. If you live out of state and would be interested in doing a remote consultation, send me an inquiry HERE

  • I tattoo within the Neo-Traditional/Pop Traditional style (Bold lines and bright color). My favorite things to tattoo are colorful and pink! Please be sure to look over my work before booking. If in the event you book something that I feel doesn’t work within my style I will reach out to cancel the appointment and refund your deposit.

  • I am not currently taking on any projects that fall under these styles:

    Realism

    Fine line black and grey

    Mandalas

    New school

    Linework only

    Trash polka

While I don’t do these styles exclusively, if you are looking to do something that incorporates some of these elements into my own style send me an inquiry HERE to see if your project may be a good fit!

  • When approaching a tattoo design one of the biggest things to remember is that you want it to be readable over a long period of time.

I recommend for a tattoo to have a balanced composition without being overly complicated to think of things in rules of three.

1 subject matter, 2 supporting elements. Example: Teacup (1), with Flowers (2), and bees (3).

There are some exceptions to this, particularly if you are doing a larger tattoo- but it is a pretty good rule of thumb in order to keep your design from smooshing too many things into one.

  • I accept Paypal, Venmo, and Cash (preferred!)

  • I share the drawing with you at the time of your appointment. I do not send out designs prior to appointment. This method helps prevents art theft and miscommunication over design. If there are any adjustments that need to be made, they can be made day of at your appointment.

  • You need to be at least 18 years old to get tattooed with me.

  • Make sure to come dressed in comfy clothes, ones that allow access to the area you’re getting tattooed while also keeping you covered and comfortable. A sweater or hoodie is always great to bring just in case you get cold while getting tattooed! Pack your favorite snacks and drinks (especially ones with electrolytes!) to help keep your energy and replenish yourself as we’re working. I also require masks in the studio as my Dad has severe health issues-so come prepared with one as well!

  • I provide in depth instructions to every client at the end of their appointment. If there are ever any issues in healing I encourage my clients to reach out to me directly so that I can help them through the rest of their heal.
